Andrea's and Michael's Beetles - Homepage http://www.source.at/beetles/

There are millions of beetles in the world, and entomologists (scientists who study insects) at least consider that many of them are extremely good-looking. There are hundreds of beetle-related websites on the internet, and whether you're an entomologist or not, you'll find this one among the most beautifully designed you'll come across.

The site is mainly a picture archive, with a good but not exhaustive collection of amazingly high-quality macro-photos of beetles from around Europe and Africa. Apparently, the collection is expanding, so it'll be well worth returning to this site from time to time to see what Õyou think of their additions.

As well as the small-but-perfectly-formed collection of stunning photography, you'll be able to examine a few animated beetles here, too. The 3D maybug and rhino beetle are particularly good - it's not often you find this kind of high quality on the internet, so enjoy it while you can. The authors promise that there is more in the pipeline, so again, keep your eyes peeled.

It's a shame there isn't more information about the beetles themselves, but a collection of beetle links helps remedy that - follow your nose and you'll find more than enough info to keep you going. The wonderful world of insects, for example, is a huge resource base for all things entomological.
